12 foot plow with broken rigging.
This was an emergency call, in -7 degree Fahrenheit weather. The plow had been ripped right off on the right hand side and the 6 bolts holding the fitting on had been sheared off over time.
This side was the only thing holding the plow to the rig when I arrived on site. The steel was tearing off along the old weld.
I used a 30 pound sledge and some elbow grease to get the fitting back in position. Then I dropped in 6 new bolts and lock washers to keep it in it's home.
Prepping to grind out the old welds.
Sunset and the temperature dropped like a stone. I welded the plow and had a man ahead preheating to make sure there was enough heat.
Ground the welds down a bit just before painting. The plow was back in action within 15 minutes after this picture was taken.
