What do you do with a 3D printer, a full shop and nostalgia?
I've gamed with a lot of the same people for a long time.  We all met randomly, over time while we were all young and either in college or just starting our working lives.  As time passed we graduated, got promoted, started families but we grew up playing video games and we never stopped.  Over time we began taking trips across the world to meet each other.  From New York, to California.  Australia to Michigan we 'grouped' up.  Now in our mid thirties and early 40's our friendships have solidified, and the businesses and families we've built are working with one another.  As a kind of thank you I decided to make some nice Light Saber plaques for them since most of us met back in the days of Star Wars Galaxies.
The first step was to redesign the first saber models into an easily assembled kit.
Test assembly of the kit went great.
Each saber was printed with the name of one of the senior officers from the guild.
The models were mounted on wooden plaques with the saber attached by magnet so they can be easily taken off and then put back.
